Professional Development
  • DSU Language and Culture Institute:
    Interested in developing and sharpening your skills, preparing for the national certification test or just learning about language and culture issues. Deaf Services Unlimited now offers opportunities for growth and development through professional development seminars sponsored the DSU Language and Culture Institute. These training sessions offer you a safe environment for practice and enhancement of your interpreting skills while earning CEU credits required to maintain your licensure/ certification. Activities include small group discussions on contemporary issues, mini-workshops through "DSU Wired" (a video-conference series offered at remote sites around the state through the ICN), presentations from distinguished Deaf professionals as well as conferences and hands-on voicing and signing exercises.
